15 interesting and not-so-interesting facts about Linda:

 

1. When I was little we lived in Riverdale, New York in an apartment building that had an ice skating rink on the roof. My Mom made me a bright pink ice-skating skirt.

2. I one time baby sat an Iguana.

 

 3. I met the King and Queen of Sweden (twice!) and met Prince Albert (once!) who told me he drives a Toyota Prius.

4. I studied ballet for many years and danced with the Lexington Ballet Company in The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Coppelia, Les Sylphide and a ballet that I named call “Say Cheese”.

 

5. I was in the 5th largest earthquake in Chile in March 2010. It was very scary!

6. I was a flag girl in my High School’s Marching Band in Lexington, Kentucky.

7. I have very, very, very curly hair and when I was little it was also very, very, very red. My Mom would put my hair in two pony tails – they were the size of two wads of cotton candy.

8. When I was 10 years-old, I was our neighborhood's champion pogo-stick jumper.

9. I love taking photos of everything – bicycles, landscapes, my family, food.

10. When I was little my favorite foods were fluff, homemade bagels, roses from birthday cakes. Now my favorite foods are sushi, cheesecake, salmon and pizza.

 


11. I used to be afraid of the dark but luckily my sister Gail wasn’t. Now I love the dark and candle light.

12. When I was five years old we moved to Watchung, New Jersey which used to be a former Indian Reservation. I always thought I would meet the Lenni-Lenape Indians in our back yard.

13. I used to work at the famous jewelry store, Tiffany & Co. I helped to create a collection of watches.

14. Growing up, some of my favorite picture books were Madeline, Eloise, Dr. Suess and Tina the Ballerina. Best were stories about fancy orphans who danced ballet.

15. My husband Jan is Swedish. My daughter, Maja, is bi-lingual which means she has grown up speaking two languages (English and Swedish). Linda's first sentence in Swedish was Skulle du vilja kom hem med mej och spela bridge?
